North Georgia United Methodist - Multiplying Financial Resources for Mission and Ministry

In addition to providing permanent endowed scholarships, the Georgia United Methodist Foundation partners with the United Methodist Higher Education Foundation, higher education institutions and local churches to support future leaders of The United Methodist Church.

In the last five years, the Foundation has provided 186 scholarships totaling over $232,000 to students participating in the United Methodist Dollars for Scholars program.

Pictured from left to right, United Methodist Dollars for Scholars recipients Jordan Bradford, Wesley Meares and Jillian Matthews shared the following testimony regarding their scholarships to LaGrange College.

“I am grateful to the Foundation for the financial support,” Jordan Bradford said. “Without it, I wouldn’t have been able to attend LaGrange College where I am surrounded by the principles of Methodism that I grew up with.”

“My brother and I both received scholarships from the Foundation,” said Wesley Meares. “Because of their generosity, we’ve been able to go the colleges of our choice.”

“When I found out that I received this scholarship, I was so excited," said Jillian Matthews. "There’s somebody out there that wants to help me get a better education and further my Christian walk.”
